Happy Easter 2010!
.
Hello dearest readers! How have you all been? It’s been so long since I updated with you. So sorry… The blog has been on my mind like everyday, all the time, but I’m so knackered, it’s been regrettably put on the back-burner. Although today, I am finally writing this way over-due post… from bed (!) with my stinky cold, a tissue box by my pillow for my nose that is ever-so-good at forever reproducing goo… (Ah, sorry…, not the most appetizing of images to write about on a food blog…)
.
So anyways, what I wanted to say was that I am not trading this Saturday 3rd of April.
.
I’m currently writing another post about what’s been happening (the only upside to being bound to bed is that I finally have time to write!), so in the meantime here’s some pictures of rabbit things from my home to set you in the mood for Easter!
.
(Large Bunny driving car chocolate mold circa 1950)
.
(Smaller chocolate mold & a rabbit snow-globe by ‘&K Amsterdam’ on the right.)
.
(My favourite wooden hares that I was selling at my stall last year.)
.
Happy Holidays! x o x o x o
Sending happy Easter thoughts to you!
Hope you feel better soon – must be really hard being sick, especially when you have little ones.
Love, love, LOVE your bunny collection :)

wow–hope you’re up & out soonest! as for goo-images, this household holds 2 toddlers, 1 infant, &3 adults w/seasonal allergies! meet your goo & top it;) just wondering (when you up & able) what you prefer for easter meal? my dtr. insists on corned beef & cabbage (she refuses to eat ham)!

Hello Cocopuff1212! Yay! I’m very happy that you liked the bunny collection!! – I’ve got D & my parents looking after the kiddos, so it’s not too bad actually!!
.
Hi Petoskystone! Talking of goo, I now think that it runs through my whole body clogging it – … body-ache, head-ache, the lot! – As for Easter Meal – Y’know what? I’ve never done it with a special dinner…!! Is eating ham the norm for these things??

If a good amount of foreign readers can help you leaving your bed soon… well, I’m a (usually) silent fan of yours writing from Italy!

ham or lamb seems to be the most common meats. corned beef has a tendency to be served on st. patrick’s. in my area of the u.s., the largest easter tables belong to the italians! ham, lasanga, wheat pies, ricotta pies…

Cheers for the info Petoskystone!
Ah I see!! Now I wish someone invites me to one so I can say that I’ve experienced it… I just googled, & it looks a treat! (by the way, I would prefer ham please…!)

I love your hare. Is there somewhere close to me where I can buy them from, my mums birthday is close and I know she will love it too. I live in Ludlow in shropshire.
I have been following your blog for ages and I love to see your great stall and amazing recipes. I am like you also I take my cook books to bed and read them for hours and plan what cook for days ahead at the dead of night. Thanks. Kate

Dear Katy,
thank you for following the blog!
About the hares – I’m so sorry to report this, but unfortunately you can’t get them anywhere now – when I ordered back in January, they had very dark wood varnish on all of them, I returned them. They lost the ‘unpainted look’ which I think is the charm. I complained to the makers, so perhaps they might go back to the original – but not guaranteed – I might try to order again for next year, but not sure if I should take the risk as it was a hassle to return them to Germany last time…. so sorry…! xx
